Sodomy is still a crime.

Fourteen States and the US Military still have Sodomy in their law books, and therefore is still a crime. The following is a list of states at last check still have sodomy laws on the books.

Alabama
Florida
Idaho
Kansas
Louisiana
Michigan
Mississippi
Missouri
North Carolina
Oklahoma
Puerto Rico
South Carolina
Texas
Utah
Virginia

US Military through the USMJ.

The states that no longer list Sodomy as a crime need to restore this crime to the books.

The Homosexual lobby states that Sodomy has been repealed by Lawrence v. Texas. Nothing can be further from the truth. The US supreme court cannot repeal a law, it can state that the law in a state is unconstitutional, however the whole case is irrelevant because a court cannot simply de-criminalize a state law. Only the Legislature can do that. The courts can interpret the state law, but the court does not have superiority over the law. The court must follow the law, and interpret it as the lawmakers intended.
Further if Lawrence V. Texas really does repeal Sodomy as the advocates say, States can simply ignore the supreme courts decision because it has over reached its constitutional limits through a process known as Nullification. The states give the power to the federal government, if the federal government exceeds that power, states can nullify it. Therefore states need to go on the record and Nullify Lawrence V. Texas.
As to the US Military, the Congress has the power to change the UCMJ, the supreme courts decision does not apply to Military law which is separate from state and federal law. Only congress can remove the sodomy law from the UCMJ, and they chose not to do that, therefore Sodomy is still a crime in the military and members can be prosecuted for committing this crime.
Sodomy is a crime and in a civilized nation anyone committing these crimes must be arrested and imprisoned. Sodomy is a crime against nature, and those who commit these crimes in many cases become infected with HIV, the virus that leads to AIDS. The problem is now that there are medications for these diseases they can be quite expensive. A regiment of HIV drugs costs $3,000 to $5,000 per month per infected person. As what usually happens , We the people end up paying for these programs because the irresponsible people who chose this risky behavior need life saving meds. Where I come from if you make your bed, you need to sleep in it.
I don't think that if I am living my life in an irresponsible way, that I should expect others to pay the price for it. No the people that chose this lifestyle need to pay for themselves, and not put the burden on the people who have lived rightly.

Please write your representative to introduce legislation criminalizing Sodomy, and making people who engage in this lifestyle responsible for paying for their own medication. Otherwise this will continue to bankrupt our country.
