How do the candidates Rate?

State House Representative Maile Shimabukuro receives an overall score of 5% by the Grassroots Institute of Hawaii.

The Grassroots Institute of Hawaii rates candidates based on their voting record. Whether they raised Taxes or Raided funds among other categories.

On the Senate Side the top performing Seantors were Sam Slom (R) 95%, Fred Hemmings (R) 78%, Rosalyn Baker (D) and Carol Fukunaga (D) tied at 21%, David Ige (D) 20%, and Josh Green (D) 13%.

On the House side the top Performing Representatives were Lynn Finnegan (R) 56%, Barbara Marumoto (R) 54%, Kimberly Pine (R) 54%, Corrine Ching (R) 40%, and Cynthia Thielen (R) and Gene Ward (R) tied at 37%.

Maile Shimabukuro is one of the lowest performing Representatives according to the survey. She has voted consistantly to raise taxes, raid funds to balance the budget, and voted to increase the size and cost of government etc.

Its time to elect candidates who will fix Hawaii, not make it worse.
